– In comparison with 2014, the Subcontracting Trade Fair exhibitors’ work situation has, on average, improved and customers are feeling optimistic. It seems that in 2016 there will be a record number of international exhibitors setting the pace for Finnish companies, which means that competition in the global market will become even fiercer. Our aim is to offer companies some tools to tackle this challenge through next year’s themes which will be digitalization and leadership, says Product Group Manager Jani Maja of Tampere Trade Fairs Ltd.

A charter flight with Norwegian professionals on board flew directly from Trondheim, Norway to Tampere, Finland on 15th of September 2015. The idea was to get professionals of different fields of industry and science together to mingle, enjoy the Alihankinta Trade Fair and to meet new valuable contacts.

Alihankinta 2015 had exhibitors from 20 different countries and international visitors from dozens of countries.

Finland is full of high standard expertise and highly competent engineers who come up with amazing innovations. There is an incredible amount of new technology and new materials behind these new products and services. However many Finnish industrial companies would do better if they realized the importance of marketing. So, it is essential that our engineers constantly improve their marketing skills when selling their high quality products to other countries.
This year the partner company of the Subcontracting Trade Fair is Normet Oy which offers solutions to demanding customer processes in underground mining and tunnelling. In addition, Normet manufactures construction chemicals in several countries. The global distribution and service network consists of 43 sales and support locations in 27 countries and is coordinated from Switzerland through Normet International Ltd. "The idea behind the Subcontracting partnership is that the Subcontracting Trade Fair, together with a remarkable and successful Finnish main contractor, can highlight Finnish expertise", explains Product Group Manager Jani Maja.
